The Amman Citadel is situated on the highest hill in Amman, Jebel Al Qala’a. It's surrounded by a 1700 meter long wall that was rebuilt many times throughout history. At the Citadel, you can see the Temple of Hercules, Ummayad Palace, Jordan Archaeological Museum, and more. The Citadel has been renovated to include ramps everywhere to accommodate people with disabilities. Unfortunately, the ramps are a bit steep so a manual wheelchair user might need assistance to get around and the Jordan Archaeological Museum doesn't have wheelchair access but a long flight of stairs to enter. However, it's worth going to see the breathtaking views and artifacts.

Entrance Fee: 250 piasters for Jordanians and Arabs, 3 JOD for foreigners, and free for Jordan Pass holders.

Hours: 8am - 6pm
